Biography

Arthur Morris taught elementary school in New York City for twenty-three years. For eight years he conducted the shorebird survey at the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge for the International Shorebird Surveys, Manomet, Massachusetts. Today Arthur Morris is one of North America\'s premier wildlife and bird photographers. His work is known for its artistic design and technical perfection. <BR><BR>More than 9,000 of Morris\' images have appeared in over 80 illustrated feature articles in publications worldwide including: Audubon, Birding, National Geographic, Natural History, Nature Photographer, and Outdoor Photographer. Two of his images--out of 19,000 entries--were awarded prizes in the 1997 Wildlife Photographer of the Year Competition. In April 1995, Mr. Morris became a Canon contract photographer as part of their Explorers of Light program. He appeared in Canon\'s popular EOS 1n television commercial and has been featured in six episodes of the Canon Photo Safari television show. Arthur is a popular lecturer, having presented more than 250 slide programs during the past decade.˛
